Are LED Lights NEW technology?

Oleg Vladimirovich Losev, a radio technician, published details in a Russian journal of the first ever LED in 1927.

Nick Holonyak, Jr. invented the first visible LED in 1962 while working as a consulting scientist at a General Electric Company

laboratory in Syracuse, New York and has been called "the father of the light-emitting diode".

Holonyak predicted that his LEDs would replace the incandescent light bulb of Thomas Edison in the February 1963 issue of Reader’s Digest.

LED’s are one of the few technologies available today that will have a direct, positive impact on the global environment AND YOUR BOTTOM LINE.

By harnessing the three key benefits of LEDs,

 EFFICIENCY

 LONGEVITY

 SAFETY

LED’s provide a long list of local and global benefits unattainable with any other lighting technology. LED's are very efficient light that is revolutionizing the lighting industry and will become STANDARD in households and Commercial areas in the very near future.

Replacing conventional lighting with the Lumi Trak LED lighting system is a cost effective method of reducing electrical consumption, CO2, NOx, and SO2 emissions.

For Example; replacing one 250W luminaire with the Lumi Trak LED system:

 Electrical Consumption:

 One - 250W conventional luminaire & ballast (50W) operating 4,000hrs/yr *. – 1200 kwh/yr.

 One - 64W Lumi Trak LED system operating 4,000hrs. /yr * – 256 kwh/yr.

 SAVINGS: 78.6%  PER 250W fixture.
